Redonk Long Post!

I finally figured out why I never get around to posting.  I hate editing my pictures lol.  Its' not like I even have a lot to do, I just crop them.  But I hate it. lol sorry!  SO here's another looooong post!

It was a GREAT month for my lemming squashing.  Y'all saw in my last two week post I was lucky enough to acquire EDM The Fifth Element.  Anyone remember what my other MAJOR lemming was...?  Anyone?  Anyone?.... Bueller?  YES!  Lime Crime Pastelchio.  Holy balls I almost died when I saw they were restocked.  I bought two bottles and Parfait Day.  It took FOREVERRRRR to get here (literally almost a month).  I don't know what the problem was.

When my package finally arrived, I was a little shocked.  The bottles are small as hell!  Not like I'll ever use two bottles, but these are not as big as I expected.  Anyways, application was a tad tricky.  The finish is in between matte and gloss so it kind of dries fast and a bit streaky.  A second coat fixed that right up.
Two coats Lime Crime Pastelchio and Parfait Day
Back when Ulta was having their 2/$15 OPI sale, I went and snagged the next couple polishes.

I was on a red-orange kick for a while, and OPI My Paprika id Hotter than Yours was perfect for me!  Its a creamy polish with a hint of gold pearl shimmer.  This is really a gorgeous color!  It's gonna be great when fall rolls around again.
Two coats OPI My Paprika is Hotter than Yours
Another lemming of mine that I never really discussed was OPI Russian Navy.  I was almost afraid it was discontinued because I NEVER saw it anywhere.  My mom was with me and she saw it first.  It went a little something like this:
Mom: Oh this is a cute one!
Me: looks over, thinks its RN, eyes go wide...frantic tone in voice What is it??!
Mom: turns bottle over Rus --
Me: football tackles Mom, snatches bottle OHMYGAWD I'VE BEEN WANTING THIS FOREVER!!!
Okay, I didn't really tackle her, but I about ripped her hand off snatching it from her lol This color is kind of hard to explain.  In the bottle it looks like a deep blurple, but when you get it on its a gorgeous indigo shimmer.
Two coats OPI Russian Navy
I even did some nail art!  I had been wanting to do abstract roses for a while (seen on The Lacquerologist and @newlypolished on IG).  I think these look more like fried eggs than roses.  But not too shabby.  I'll just need a different color scheme next time lol
Abstract roses/eggs nail art
Next is China Glaze Purple Panic.  I LOVE the waxy matte look.  I have no clue why they call it "purple", its most def neon pink.  But whatever.
Two coats China Glaze Purple Panic
I found some ChG Fairy Dust at Ulta too.  I had to get it based on what everyone always says about it. Y'all are blinded by the glitter nazis.  This was NOT as awesome as all the hype.  I was just meh about it.
GhG Fairy Dust over Purple Panic
Hold on to your panties!  I actually used a texture polish!  I know, its nuts.  I am so OCD about things on my nails.  If a glitter it to gritty I'm constantly touching them and picking at it.  Surprisingly, that did not happen.  This was my 4th of July mani.  Pretty boring, sadly.  I was in the process of cleaning and packing for my vacation so I didn't get to do what I wanted.  This was a quick substitution.  I used OPI Liquid Sand polish in The Impossible and SH Pacific Blue stamped with Color Club Harp On It.
OPI The Impossible and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Last but not least, I used Orly Androgyne.  I've had this for a while, I can't remember if I got it at Ulta or Sally's.  But its gorgeous.  There is so much to look at in it.  It's a dark greenish brown jelly base that builds to look black in two coats (shown).  There are gold flakies and clear iridescent hex glitters that change from gold to orange to teal to deep blue at different angles.  There's also some holo glitter thrown in.
Two coats Orly Androgyne
Yay! OK all caught up! Have a great weekend y'all! and enjoy this little nugget I found on vacation in Georgia! ;D

Femme Fatale Lacquer * Mermaids in the Midst

Hey loves!  I have been majorly lacking motivation for nail art lately, so heres a nice swatch of Femme Fatale Lacquer Mermaids in the Midst.

I decided to layer it over one coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI.
One coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI
One coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI
I really like this color!  Its a pretty grape purple with gold shimmers.  I was super surprised this only took one coat!

Femme Fatale Lacquer's Mermaids in the Midst is absolutely amazing!  Its a plum jelly base with medium holo teal, small holo copper and lavender hex glitters.

This had a great formula and application.  I didn't have to fish to get the glitters.  The only problem I ran in to was the smell.  I thought it smelled like hair dye or something.  I sealed with one coat of Seche Vite.

Check out Femme Fatale Lacquer online where all polishes go for $8.00.

Swatch Tuesday! Nabi * Purple Jumbo Glitter

Hello Loves!  I just have an awesome swatch/a zillion pictures of Nabi Purple Jumbo Glitter over O.P.I. Every Month is Oktoberfest.

I really LOVE this stuff!  Its similar to Essie SOTT, but its not a flakie AND there are purple glitters [shocker!].  PJG was sent to me by my nail polish bestie Katie <3 lol She said she got it from a ghetto dollar store.  I have never seen Nabi in any stores near me.  I got the O.P.I. from Ulta [apparently super HTF now - there was only one when I got it when the Germany collex came out.]

Enjoy the glittahhhh!

Swatch Tuesday! Some O.P.I. Euro Centrale Polish!

Hello Lovelies!  Today I have some gorgeous O.P.I. polish to show you!  And guess what?  It's blue!! haha

First up is O.P.I. ... Eurso Euro.  I.  love. this. soooo much!  It reminds me a little of Essie No More Film, but the O.P.I. is not a creme; its got more of a glossy look to it.  It's a very inky looking blue that is just absolutely gorgeous.
Two coats O.P.I. O.P.I. ... Eurso Euro
I thought this would be really hard to capture, but the color is pretty true to life.  It's just a smidge more purple.  This is two coats, no tops.  Application was great.  Thinner on the first coat, but perfect with two.

Next up is Can't Find Mt Czechbook.  Just yes.  It's a light creme teal/aqua that I am just completely in love with!
Two coats O.P.I. Can't Find My Czechbook
The application was a little tricky with this one.  It was streaky on the first coat.  I let it dry and went to do the second coat, and it streaked as well (on my right hand - not shown).  I had to go a little thicker on the coat second coat, and it was just fine.

Finally, I topped Can't Find Mt Czechbook with Nail Sauce Secret Lagoon, a glitter packed polish with medium and small holo teal hex and small holo purple hex.  *aaahhhh*mermaids singing* lol
Two coats Nail Sauce Secret Lagoon
over O.P.I. Can't Find My Czechbook
I did two coats Secret Lagoon over O.P.I.  Application was great.  So much glitter on the brush each time.  I finished off with Seche Vite to smooth out.

If you want some Nail Sauce, I highly recommend it!  I always want to buy alllllll the polish ;) Prices range but most bottles are $8.75.  Some are on sale now for 35% off!

I got my O.P.I.s from Ulta, they didn't have a very wide selection, and they didnt know when they would be getting another shipment, so I snagged these up.

Swatch Tuesday! Comparison Post

Hello lovelies!  Today I have six swatches for you...all blue!!  I knew I had a few similar colors so I thought I'd compare them.
Essie Butler Please v. Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Essie Butler Please
I have used this color before, but not on its own (used in this post as undies for Wicked Polish Priapism).  Application was just a little streaky, so I used two coats.  I really love this color!  It's a little less vivid in real life, but it's pretty dang close to this.
Two coats Essie Butler Please
Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
I had seen girls on IG posting how great and perfect this color was.  I would always think it was Essie, but then read the caption and found it was Sally Hansen.  I will say, as much as I LOOOOVE Essie, I think Sally has a better formula.  I only needed one coat, but did two to keep it consistent with Essie's swatch.
Two coats Sally Hansen Pacific Blue
Can you tell the difference?? Here's some bottle shots.
Still can't tell?  Here is Essie Butler Please on my pointer and ring finger.  Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on my middle and pinky.
Two coats Essie Butler Please on pointer and ring;
Two coats Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on middle and pinky
Now can you see?  The Essie is just a fraction of a shade darker.  These are both pretty glossy.  I didn't use a topcoat on either.

I bought Essie at Target and SH at CVS.

Essie Bobbing for Baubles v. China Glaze First Mate
Essie Bobbing for Baubles
I used this Essie for my birthday mani that I posted on IG.  It's a dark smoky navy blue with just a hint of dark green.  I thought it was perfect with one coat until I cropped the picture and it zoomed in.  There's a little bald spot on my pointer.  Meh.
One coat Essie Bobbing for Baubles
China Glaze First Mate
Sorry, I know I just posted a swatch of this last Tuesday, but oh wellzies.  Quick summary, it's a one coat wonder with great application.
One coat China Glaze First Mate
These obviously have differences when on, but the bottles look pretty close.

Here is Essie Bobbing for Baubles on my pointer and ring; China Glaze First Mate on middle and pinky; no tops.

I bought Essie at Target (the ONLY time I'd seen it in any store - it was the last one) and China Glaze at Sally Beauty Supply.

Essie Dive Bar v. O.P.I. Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue
Essie Dive Bar
There is so much to this color that doesn't show in pictures!  It's a dark black brown jelly with blue, green and purple shifting shimmer.  I used two coats for full coverage.
Two coats Essie Dive Bar
O.P.I. Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue
I love this!  So gorgeous!  It's a sheer blue polish with blue shimmer.  Semi-streaky.  Two coats are perfect.
Two coats O.P.I. Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue
The bottle shots look much more similar than when the polish is actually on.
Here is Essie Dive Bar on my pointer and ring; O.P.I. Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue on middle and point; no tops again.
One coat Essie Dive Bar on pointer and ring;
One coat O.P.I. Unfor-Greta-Bly Blue on middle and pinky
I got Essie at Wal-Mart and O.P.I. at Ulta.

Hope y'all liked my comparisons!

I think I'm going to stop doing my Wasted Wednesday posts =\ I always end up forgetting to do it then have to rush at the last second.

Swatch Tuesday! Wicked Polish * Frostbite, Pox, & Pink Eye

Well, with my Wicked Polish Pestilence collex finally complete, I bring you the last of the babies you haven't seen from me yet: Frostbite, Pox (!!!!!), and Pink Eye.

First up: Frostbite.  It's a clear base with pearly white shimmer, small holo teal and silver hex, and small to large matte white hex glitter.
Two coats Wicked Polish Frostbite

over one coat Essie Where's my Chauffeur?
I layered two thin coats of Frostbite over one coat Essie Where's my Chauffeur?  I didn't have any application issues.  I thought it would be globby for some reason.  I've had a few indies that were shimmery that were kinda gloopy.  But not this!  Went on perfect in one coat, but I wanted more glitter, so I added the second coat.

Next: The highly coveted POX!!!!!  The cousin of Gangrene.  This polish is so bad ass!  Loooooook!!
Two coats Wicked Polish Pox
over one coat Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Pox has a slightly orange "crelly" base - love this description!  Not quite cream, not quite jelly...Crelly! - packed with tiny orange neon hex and varying sizes of pink and orange neon hex glitters. The glitters are kind of translucent, so when they get painted over each other it gives it a really cool effect!  I layered two coats Pox over one coat Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  No application issues, though I did flip the bottle over for a couple minutes before applying because the larger hexes settle to the bottom.

Last but not least: Pink Eye.  This is a hidden gem.  I think it might be one of my favorites (like anyone would ever dare ask me to pick!)
Two coats Wicked Polish Pink Eye
over one coat O.P.I. Pink-ing of You
Pink Eye is pretty much it's own jelly sammich in a bottle.  It's got a light bubble gum pink jelly base with different sizes of the neon hex (like in Pox), different sized matte white hex, and a little bit of silver hex glitters.  I layered it over one coat of O.P.I. Pink-ing of You (which is very light on its own) It's so girly, I'm gonna die! :)  I love it.  No application issues.  Wicked Polish definitely has a great formula down.
