Back To Blogging Soon!

Hello Loves! I just want to say a huuuuge THANK YOU to everyone that has stuck with me through the last month-ish while I prepared to move! I am 99% settled in now. The only things left are to get my cable/internet set up and to put my polish racks back [I WISH that was the first thing done!] I’m still unpacking some of my clothes and knick-knacks and making everything ‘homey’ :)

I should have some posts by next week-ish. If you aren’t following me on IG (@nauti_mermaid), I’ve been pinning my manis to Pinterest (miss_best). I’m probably not going to do a compilation post of everything since I quit writing. You can check them out on Pinterest ;) I didn’t really do anything exciting; mostly plain colors. The only nail art I did was with the PMTG polish, and I posted that here.

Anywho, thanks again for hanging around! I can’t wait to get back in the swing of things! :)

Swatch Tuesday! Polish Me To Go Pastel Glow Polish

Hello Lovelies!  I'm back for another review of Polish Me To Go!  This time I have two pastels and a surprise!

First up is a soft pinky-purple (some of my IG girls and I have dubbed it "pinkle") pastel called Like Grapes?  In real life the color is more purple, unfortunately it photographs more on the pink side.

I used two thin coats of Like Grapes? with no undies.  Dry time was super quick.  The formula is matte and was the prefect consistency.  Again, no streaks or chunky polish.  No topcoat on this to show the matte effect.

Like Grapes?; no topcoat
This glow was not as bright as some others I have from PMTG.  I charged it up for about two minutes and this was the result.  The bottle glows bright, so I think I should have shaken it up a little better.  Oh wellzies, you can still see the awesome purple glow!

A suuuuuper sweet IG gal, Kayla, sent me a Valentine box full of goodies.  This little beauty, I'm Fwee by Darling Diva Polish, was in there.  I was dying to try it so I decided since I was swatching, why not?  lol this is two coats DDP I'm Fwee over Like Grapes?  Pretty pretty right?  :)

Next from Polish Me To Go is an UH-maaaaa-ZINGuhhhh pastel blue polish called I'm So Blue.  Y'all know I have a soft spot for my blue polish!  I have NOTHING like this in my collection.  I just can't even find words for how much I love this color!  Formula is the same: matte, perfect application, two coats, no undies, no tops.  Just LOOOOOK!

The glow is great in this polish.  I only charged it up while I was taking the picture above (maybe 45 seconds).

Last is a super awesome surprise!!  When I saw the mini black bottle in my nail mail, I was a little confused.  I thought maybe I was supposed to use it as an undie for the pastels.  But I rubbed my two brain cells together and figured out Night Water was a glow polish too!  Wouldjya look at it!  lol
Three coats PMTG Night Water
I used three coats to get it fully opaque.  Formula is consistent with my other reviews.  This one had a bit of a weak glow as well.  Again, the bottle glows very well, so a little more shaking on my part would have been beneficial.  This is with 2 minutes under a light.

I did some more basic nail artin'.  Used PMTG I'm So Blue and one of my new Color Club Spring 2013 Halo Hues polishes called Beyond.  I topped with Seche Vite to get rid of the gritty matte feel.

Swatch Tuesday! Polish Me To Go Neon Glow Polish Review

Hello Lovelies!  I’m back for a quick Swatch Tuesday post!  Today I’ll be reviewing some awesome matte neon glow polishes from Polish Me To Go.
Such cute packaging! :)
First up is Lucky Me, a vivid neon green.  I did two thin coats over a White Undie polish that was included. As with all neons, you need a white base to make the color really pop.  It has a bit of a speckle effect that I think is really unique.  No tops on this so you can see how the matte effect is.

Just look at that glow!  This is by far the brightest glow polish I own.  This was after about 45 seconds under a light bulb.

Like I said, this is a matte polish (like most neons), so dry time was pretty quick.  There were no issues with application.  The formula was thinner than most mattes I have, but I like that.  I find most matte polish gets chunky and streaky before I can even get it to the tip of  my nail.  I did not have that problem with this polish.

Next I have Pretty Girls, an intense neon pink.   Again I did two coats over the White Undie.  No topcoat.

This one takes a little longer to charge up.  I held my hand under a light for about a minute and a half.  I had to shake this one up for a good while to get the glowy stuff mixed well (see below; the glow pigment looks like it settled to the bottom).

Yummy bottle shots; some settling on the pink glow.
Shake well!
Pretty Girls is most definitely my favorite.  I’ve been searching for a pink glow polish since I found out about glow polish!  lol and it did not disappoint.

Check out Polish Me To Go’s shop where full size bottles go for $8, or you can pick up the whole matte neon glow mini set (pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) for $16.  Pastel glow polish options are also available.  Great variety of products!

I got a little nail art bug in me this weekend, so I did a full mani with these colors :)

I used the White Undie as the base, Pretty Girls and Lucky Me then did some leopard spots with Color Club Harp On It and Sally Hansen Onyx.  I topped with Seche Vite.

Short Break from the Blogosphere

Hi Lovelies,

As you see, I haven't posted my usual Friday post.  I will be taking a little break from blogging - JUST until I'm in my new place (February 23 is my move-in day).

I'm just going crazy with finding things I need and setting up everything and packing and coordinating and blah blah blah.  O_o

I will post my nails as I do them on my IG (@nauti_mermaid) and probably do a compilation post of all my manis once I'm all settled in.

I am supposed to be receiving some superrrr amazing glow in the dark polish to review from an indie maker.  I will obviously swatch and post as soon as I get it, but other than that, I'll just be posting on my IG.

Thanks for understanding y'all :)
