Stardust Polish * Alice in Wonderland Collection

Deja vu?  NO!  Drema revamped her Alice in Wonderland collection.  She is a more experienced indie maker now, and is a true Alice lover, so why NOT do another collex?  There are six polishes in this collection, three have holo glitters, one is a subtle holo, and one is a thermal!  I literally cannot pick a favorite.  I was sad to take each one off after swatching.  I liked each one more than the last!  I hope y'all like them too!

*NOTE: There was another brush issue that I will discuss below.

First is Flowers Can't Talk, a light pink crelly base with SO many glitters.  There are yellow, pink, marigold, purple, orange, blue, white and green squares and hexes in all sizes.  Application was great, no lack of glitter in this baby!  I did two coats, no undies, sealed with OTD.  Dry time between coats was fast.
Stardust Polish Flowers Can't Talk
Next is Miss Alice, a light yellow crelly base with a mix of cornflower blue, sapphire and white hex glitters in various sizes.  I'm not normally the biggest fan of yellow polish, but I absolutely adore this one!  It's just flat out cute and is the perfect representation of Alice.  This is three coats, no undies, sealed with OTD.  Dry time was fast between coats as well.
Stardust Polish Miss Alice
This next beauty is Mr. Rabbit, a white crelly base with a mix of gold, orange, lilac and aqua holo glitters.  This polish is so gorgeous!  I did three coats, no undies, OTD to top.  My picture doesn't do the polish justice; in the right light this sparkles like you wouldn't believe!
Stardust Polish Mr. Rabbit
Up next is the thermal Simply Mad.  When warm it is clear, when cold it turns to a pretty fuchsia.  It has magenta and light pink hex glitters and holo squares.  I did three coats, no undies.  Next time, I want to put a nude base on so the VNL isn't there.
Stardust Polish Simply Mad, transition

Holy balls!  This MIGHT be my favorite...if I HAD to pick, but of course I can't lol Very Merry Unbirthday is a "kitchen sink" glitter topper.  The mix of glitters is redonk and so freakin awesome!  From Stardust Polish's description: "Very Merry Unbirthday is a glitter topper filled with red, pink, magenta, silver & iridescent glitter." but guise! there is SO much more in there! I want to put this on top of EVERYTHING!  I chose to put it over Spoiled Permission to Proceed because it reminded me of t the Mad Hatter lol This is two thin coats sealed with OTD.
Stardust Polish Very Merry Unbirthday
And lastly, Yes, Your Majesty.  This is a gorgeous bright red jelly holo.  Of course, I have no complaints.  Drema is the Holo Queen after all.  The name is fitting :)  The holo isn't as strong as Royalty.  It's not a "holo dusted", but its not a strong linear either.  I'd call it a weak linear, or "subtle holo" lol weak sounds bad.  Anywho, I used two coats sealed with SV.

*Brush issue: a few of my brushes were curved again.  It was a little difficult to apply, but not impossible.  I swatched these polishes basically straight out of my mailbox.  After checking them again in the morning, they were straighter.  I live in South Florida, it's summer, its hot as Satan's buttcrack, especially in a mailbox all day.  I figure if you let your polish sit at room temp, the brushes will go back to almost normal.

As always, if you have any concerns with your brushes, contact Drema with a picture of the brush and she will send you a replacement.  (stardust polish@gmail.com)

Alright lovelies! Until next time! Visit Stardust Polish and buy ALL the things!

Super Special Cameo Colours Lacquers Package!

Well if you follow me on IG, you know I got a thuper ah-mah-zing package from CCL!

I originally ordered Hex-Sea and I Know It and You're Sapphired.  BUT I was Cameo's 500th Etsy order so she threw in a slough of other godies and surprises!

She sent me the Devine collex (minus Pele that I already had). AND she made a polish named after me!!! One Nauit Mermaid is a glitter thermolinear holo polish.  You're dead, right?  I know, me too!!

I used Athena and topped it with some Different Dimension Social Suicide (because I was watching Mean Girls).

I just love this polish.  It's a pearly holo.  I never got a sun shot though :[ sadness.

Hold on to your butt.  You're Sapphired is amazing.  I stand by my statement that the holo on this baby is right up there with the Color Club holos.

Application was good.  A tad thick, but manageable.

If you lost your butt with the last pics, go find it because you need to hold on to it again!  One Nauti Mermaid is everything great about indie polish.  There's holo hex blue/teal glitter, its holo, and its thermal!!!
Cameo Colours Lacquers One Nauti Mermaidwarm, cold, & transition
When warm, ONM is a slivery light blue; when cold it is teal.  I did an accent of You're Sapphired because: holo.

I am so flattered to have a polish made and named for me! (now I just need someone to notice me in public, see my nails and say "OMG! You're Nauti Mermaid form IG!")

Go check out Cameo Colours on Etsy.  A slightly modified "Nauti Mermaid" polish will be available when supplies arrive! woot woot!

Different Dimension * You've Got A Friend in Me Set & Black Dahlia

A couple weeks ago I filled out a blogger survey for Different Dimension and prayed to the nail polish gods that I would be a lucky blogger that was chosen to review some of Missi's wonderful creations.  Looks like my polish voodoo worked!  haha I was sent the You've Got a Friend in Me set and Black Dahlia.

The You've Got a Friend in Me polish is obviously Toy Story inspired.  First I have a swatch of Reach For The Sky.  It has a yellow crelly base with small ruby hex and circle, medium yellow square, small and medium clear iridescent hex, and a ton of small clear iridescent shred glitters.  I layered two coats over one coat of Milani Yellow Whiz and sealed with Out The Door topcoat.

I'm not the biggest fan of yellow polish, but this one is definitely cute!  Great application.  There was tons of glitter on the brush each time.  I do wish there were a little more circle glitters.  I can't get enough of those!

Next is To Infinity and Beyond!  It's a clear based polish with TONS of glitters: white rectangle, medium purple and green holo hex, small green and purple holo hex, and large translucent neon green hex.  Oh yeah, and it glows!

Just OMG this polish is SO Buzz Lightyear lol I did two coats TI&B over one coat of Sally Hansen White On [which, as an aside, is my new favorite white polish!].  It would have been fine with just one coat; this polish is a complete glitter bomb.  I topped with OTD because it got a little gritty as it dried [I have found this is common with all glow polish].  Looks neat under a black light too, yenno, if you constantly have one-man raves at your house haha

And finally from the polish I was sent: Black Dahlia. I have to defer to the polsih listing to properly describe it: "a black leaning greyish purple scattered holographic polish with hints of different colors reflected in the light, it also has micro iridescent glitters in it. It looks amazing by itself or layered over other colors."
To steal my Nail Bestie Twin's word, this is a hologasm!!! It looks like a Color Club, the holo is THAT strong.  It's color-shifty between black and purple and charcoal grey.  The iridescent glitters change from green to purple to blue to yellow.  It's just pure ridiculousness in the best possible way!  Sorry for the flood of pictures, it just looks different in every light and angle.

I did two coats Black Dahlia, no undies, and topped with Seche Vite.  I really am speechless about this polish!  I originally thought I would have to layer it over black, but it was just perfect on its own.  Smooth formula; it took a while longer than I care to let it dry [Queen of Impatience], but SV fixed that problem.

Go check out Different Dimension online and get you some amazing indie polish!  Fun Fact: Social Suicide by DD kicked off my indie addiction!

Stardust Polish * Feelings Collection

Hello Loves!  I don't know what the heck has been up with me lately!  Completely lacking in the nail art department!  BUT I have some more Stardust Polish to review for you, so that's a plus!  Thank you thank you again Drema for sending me these to swatch for you!

I am splitting these posts up because I want to showcase the holos in the sun.  I usually do my swatching at home after work when its dark, so derf, I can't take awesome pictures of the polish in all its amazing glory.  I have the first three non holos of the new Feelings Collection in this post.  The three holos will be up Friday if the weather cooperates!

All swatches are with no undies and sealed with Out The Door topcoat.

First from the Feelings Collection is I'm Going Bananas.
Two coats Stardust Polish I'm Going Bananas
{B-A-N-A-N-A-S!}
Two coats Stardust Polish I'm Going Bananas
This is a pretty pastel yellow based polish with tons of small caramel and light lime green holo hex and medium espresso colored hex glitters.  It was a little streaky with the first coat, but it looks perfect in two.  If you used a yellow undie, you would probably only need one coat.  The brush was packed with glitter.  Dry time was fast.

Next is I'm Plum Crazy: a deep purple jelly polish with tons of small silver square glitters and some holo dust!
Two coats Stardust Polish I'm Plum Crazy
Two coats Stardust Polish I'm Plum Crazy
Look at this beautiful polish!  I'm loving that royal purple base.  I'm so sad you can't see the holo in it.  Dang light box!   Anywho, this is two coats.  Dry time was super fast!

Last up for this half of the post is I'm Seeing Red.  This has a bright red jelly base with small and medium white hex, and small red and silver holo hex glitters.  I'm Seeing Red is one of my favorites!
Three coats Stardust Polish I'm Seeing Red
Three coats Stardust Polish I'm Seeing Red
I did three coats only because this is such a sheer based polish.  If you used a red base, you'd be fine with two or even one coat.  This had fast dry time also.

Well dolls, that's all for this half of the Feelings Collection!  You can check out Stardust Polish online where this collection will be released tomorrow [Wednesday, May 8].  Prices from $8-$10.50.
See all her other amazeballz polish too!  I still need to order Angie.  Her holos really are amazing!

Femme Fatale Lacquer * Mermaids in the Midst

Hey loves!  I have been majorly lacking motivation for nail art lately, so heres a nice swatch of Femme Fatale Lacquer Mermaids in the Midst.

I decided to layer it over one coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI.
One coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI
One coat O.P.I. Dutch Ya Just Love OPI
I really like this color!  Its a pretty grape purple with gold shimmers.  I was super surprised this only took one coat!

Femme Fatale Lacquer's Mermaids in the Midst is absolutely amazing!  Its a plum jelly base with medium holo teal, small holo copper and lavender hex glitters.

This had a great formula and application.  I didn't have to fish to get the glitters.  The only problem I ran in to was the smell.  I thought it smelled like hair dye or something.  I sealed with one coat of Seche Vite.

Check out Femme Fatale Lacquer online where all polishes go for $8.00.

Stardust Polish * Lavender Dream

Ohh my gosh!  Look at this gorgeous holo polish by Stardust Polish.  This is two coats Lavender Dream with O.P.I. Gargantuan Green Grape on the accent.
Stardust Polish Lavender Dream &
O.P.I. Gargantuan Green Grape
I really wanted to try a Stardust Polish holo ever since I saw Black Hole [think Color Club Beyond, but a tad weaker linear effect].  I'm so glad I got this, now I want every holo Drema makes!
Stardust Polish Lavender Dream &
O.P.I. Gargantuan Green Grape
This soft lavender polish is perfect for spring and the holo makes it that much more awesome!  The formula was good, dry time was fast.  I topped with Seche Vite.  OF COURSE as soon as I snapped a few pictures capturing the holo, a massive downpour started; these are the only decent pictures I have.  Don't worry though, this won't be the last time you see this polish!

Visit Stardust Polish online and check out all the amazing polish for sale.  The holos go for $10 each, others range in price from $8 to $9.25.  Follow @StardustPolish on IG for sales, discount codes, and restock updates.

Swatch Tuesday! Stardust Polish Summer Cocktails Collection

Hello Loves!  Today I have the whole Summer Cocktails Collection by Stardust Polish up for review :]  The amazingly sweet Drema, maker of Stardust Polish sent me all these babies to swatch and review <3  Don't they just look good enough to drink?  Well don't! She sent along cocktail recipes for that! [how perfect is she?!]
Brace yourselves: this is a LONG post! lol but you're getting FIVE cocktail recipes on a Tuesday - so I'm making up for not posting last Friday.

Stardust Polish Summer Cocktails Collection
First up is Spiked Lemonade.  Its got a shimmer crelly canary yellow base with small orange hex, light and dark pink circle glitters.  I did three coats, no undies, no top coat.  The formula was really smooth and  application was great.  I didn't have to fish for glitters at all.  Dry time was fast.
Three coats Stardust Polish Spiked Lemonade
To make Spiked Lemonade
You'll Need:
2 1/4 cups Sugar
5 cups Water, divided
1 tbsp grated Lemon Zest
1 3/4 cups Lemon Juice
1 cup Light Rum or Vodka
Ice

Make It!
In a large sauce pan, combine 1 cup water, sugar, and lemon zest.  Cook and stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.  Remove from heat.  Stir in lemon juice and remaining water.  Pour into 2 quart pitcher and put in fridge to chill.  Stir in rum [vodka] and serve in a glass garnished with a lemon slice.

What a prefect chill-by-the-pool drink and mani!  Match your nails to your drink.  Love it :]

Neeeext is Kerasi.  Its got a shimmery peach base packed with small red square and orange hex, medium yellow hex and light pink circle glitters.  So so pretty!  This one was a tad streaky, some nails were good with two coats, but I did three just for the sake of even-ness.  No undies, I topped with Out The Door Top Coat to seal the glitter.  It had a good dry time [even before I used OTD].
Three coats Stardust Polish Kerasi
To make Kerasi
You'll Need:
2 oz Peach Vodka
1 oz Cherry Juice
1/2 oz Peach Liqueur
1/2 oz Cherry Brandy
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
Sparkling Wine
Ice

Make It!
Shake all ingredients over ice and strain into a champagne flute [mmm fancay!].  Top with wine and garnish with a cherry.

I've never heard of this but boy does it sound good!

Next [one of my favorites] Sea Mist.  This polish has a gorgeous sheer shimmery mint base with light mint medium hex and small bright red hex glitters.  I did three coats, no undies, sealed with OTD.  This also had great dry time.
Three coats Stardust Polish Sea Mist
I liked this so much, so I decided to pair it with Golden Afternoon sent to me by Drema from her first Alice in Wonderland Collex.  I used two coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos topped with one coat Sea Mist.
One coat Stardust Polish Sea Mist over two coats Essie Turquoise and Caicos
with Stardust Polish Golden Afternoon as a double accent nail
To make a Sea Mist
You'll Need:
1 oz Coconut Rum
1 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Pineapple Juice
Splash Blue Curacao
Ice

Make It!
Shake all ingredients with ice.  Strain into a glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Easy Peasy!  I want one of these NOW!

Now we've got Pink Bikini.  This is a great neon pink jelly polish with a hint of holo dust.  I can't remember now if I did three or four coats.  I think three.  But its a super sheer base that would be great for a jelly sammich.  It dried to a semi waxy finish, which I LOVE! I need to re-do this mani and wear it out in the sun to show off the holo.  I swatched this at night, so I only have my light box pic [sad face].  Dry time was fast on this also.  Great smooth application.  I didn't use undies or a top coat.  My picture really doesn't so this picture justice.  Just imagine a pink highlighter, and you almost have the color :]
Three [maybe four] coats Stardust Polish Pink Bikini
To make a Pink Bikini
You'll Need:
6 oz Raspberry Lemonade
1 1/2 oz Rum
1 oz Amaretto
Ice

Make It!
Shake ingredients in a shaker glass and strain over ice.

Annnnndddd last but not least Blue Lagoon.  It glows guys!!!  Blue Lagoon is a medium blue polish with a hint of pearl shimmer.  Great application.  Usually glow polish is matte and chalky, but not this.  Like I said on IG, its a glossy matte, if such a thing exists.  There is just the slightest amount of texture in this polish too.  I did two coats, no undies, no tops.  I charged this up under my desk light for 60 seconds to get this glow.  It is very bright - my phone camera didn't capture it too well.
Two coats Stardust Polish Blue Lagoon
Two coats Stardust Polish Blue Lagoon - glow

To make a Blue Lagoon
You'll Need:
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
4 oz Lemonade
Ice

Make It!
Fill a glass with ice and add ingredients in order from vodka to lemonade.  Garnish with a cherry and a slice of lemon.

Overall, this collection was much improved from the Alice in Wonderland collex.  Not that the first one was bad, I really enjoyed those polishes, but the formulas on the Summer Cocktails polishes are so much better.  Very creative glitter mixes too; I love that small circle glitters were incorporated.  And who doesn't want to add a neon and glow polish to their collection?

Visit Stardust Polish's shop where polish prices for the Summer Cocktails Collection range from $6.75 to $7.50.  Be sure to follow @StardustPolish on IG for updates and sales!
